5th Inning Rally closes gap

By the end of the first inning it looked like it was going to be a long day for the Tigers as the bats connected and balls found the other side of the fence in center and left field to allow the miners to pull in 11 runs.
By the end of the third Raton was wondering what was going on. Raton had been through three of the younger pitchers based mostly on pitch counts and started looking at the older pitchers.
Then in the fourth the bats started to connect and a fifth inning rally where Raton crossed the plate seven times and added four more in the sixth to close the gap.
Yet by the end of the seventh the Miners had held on with some great defense in the seventh.
Raton will see more action on April 3 at Gabrielle Field.
